Associate Pastor of Worship

Purpose and responsibilities

First Baptist Church of Easton on the beautiful Eastern Shore of Maryland is seeking an Associate Pastor of Worship. The Associate Pastor of Worship is a member of the executive team who leads the comprehensive music ministry of the church. This includes but is not limited to providing vision and leadership to develop and expand the First Baptist Church music program. Coordinate the worship team in planning the musical content for all worship services. Leading congregational singing for all worship services to include weekly traditional and contemporary/blended services. Planning and coordinating music for special events and providing leadership, vision, and direction to the choir and accompanists.

Qualifications

1. Master’s and or bachelor’s degree in church music from an accredited seminary or college. (Master’s from an SBC seminary is preferred)
2. Ordained or ordination eligible.
3. Experience in musical instruments and/or voice.
4. Computer literate in Word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software. MS office is preferred.
5. U.S. citizenship and eligible for Maryland driver’s license.
6. Bilingual skills helpful, especially Spanish.
