We are so excited to tell you about this year's WMU fall meeting. The theme is "Called to Love" This is an event you will not want to miss whether you are involved in WMU, Women's Ministry or missions volunteering.
We will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday evening with worship at Welsh Memorial Baptist Church. 19 Beall Street, Frostburg, MD. We are honored to have Kaye Miller, National WMU President, as our main speaker. We look forward to hearing what the Lord has laid on her heart. We will also hear from our missionary to the Pacific Rim, Lynn Hyde.
We will begin again on Saturday morning at 9 a.m. with a general session, which will include our business session. After that we will have breakout sessions led by Sheryl Churchill and Joyce Mitchell, both from National WMU.
Our ministry opportunity this year is to assist The BCM/D Collegiate ministry raise $12,000 to assist 200 students from across Maryland and Delaware to serve on Spring Break Missions in 2009. Students will serve internationally in China, Peru, and Africa; and in the US in evangelism outreach in Salt Lake City, construction work in New Orleans, service ministry in Charleston, church planting in Boston, and several other areas. A love offering will be taken.
We are excited about our program, speakers, missionaries and ministry opportunities.
The cost for this event is $15 per person...this will include lunch on Saturday.
